A Birthday Poem

Another year gone, another birthday to cheer.

Each year that goes by, we hold life more dear.

Each moment’s a blessing, life is just too short.

There will always be another argument, another battle for court.

We try not to forget the most precious,

Our family and our friends,

For that’s what really matters when our story ends.

And let’s not forget those we helped along the way,

for whom we made a difference, on our path to judgment day.

Will it matter or will it not, I can hardly know.

Time will tell whether we reap what we sow.

I will keep doing the best that I can.

On this birthday, I can truly say I’m happy with who I am.

This birthday poem is a wish for many good days ahead,

To live each day as if tomorrow I’ll be dead.
